Definition 1a4x3v
1) To be behind in a hand means to not have the best hand. Players sometimes call , even if they know they’re behind, if they’re drawing to a bigger hand. 2) To have money behind means to be playing with chips that aren’t in front of you (yet). This is common in live games. For instance, a player may tell the manager that he wants $500 in chips. While the floor manager gets the physical chips, the player is allowed to partake in hands. The player has money behind.
Example 3i2j60
1) I was behind in the hand, but I chose to call since I had about twelve outs. 2) I called my opponent's bet even though I did not have any actual chips to put into the pot; I had money behind.
