Definition 1a4x3v

A strategic decision to remain in the hand while playing ively, i.e., to check and not bet, and then call the villain’s bet if one is made. Usually done when the player believes the villain is likely to bluff or overbet an inferior hand, when the player is on a draw and has odds to call, or when the player is slowplaying a monster.

Example 3i2j60

"I wasn't sure my tens were good, so I check-called the turn."
